We loved our stay! The location is great, a little walk down the stairs to the beach, It can't get better! The whole house is amazingly equipped and with great amenities. The kitchen has more utensils and plates than my own flat! The check in was great and so was Fernando with the instructions and local recommendations. We spend a good chunk on the beach but we had heaters on in the evening and we appreciated them in the cold Winter. Baleal island is such a gem and I can't imagine what it's like in summer! We would love to be back in warmer times to really enjoy the outdoor terrace and those views! Definitely recommend!

We stayed in Sofia house for two weeks with 4 people. It was really nice and i hope we will come again. Best thing is the proximity to the beach, which is really not more than ~30 m. Often we did not stay at the beach but just went to swim in swimwear and returned to the terrace afterwards. The house was very well equipped (towels, bedcloth, kitchen) and the cleaning service after one week was great because of the sand we brought in over time. The owners were very nice, easy to contact and Luciana was very helpful when we had questions. Thank you again, i hope we will come back one day!

Fantastic! We were 5 people, place is simple but really nice and perfect if you like the ocean/surf atmosphere. The living room and main bedroom have nice terraces overlooking the bay, 3-4 nice restaurants walking distance, super nice beach and waves. Easy to rent surf boards and wetsuits or to take lessons. We did self check in and self check out, house was spotless. Manager very responsive. Definitely a place we’ll try to visit again!

Incredibly beautiful place. Fantastic view from the balcony. The house is very close to the beach and easily accessible. Parking the car in the area is very difficult as many people come to the beach from outside. It is possible to manage without a car but requires a little more planning. Is uber readily available and we used that. Cooler weather than the rest of Portugal, for better or for worse. Nice during the day but not as nice in the evening when it got a little cooler. But now with heat waves it's probably a perfect place! Many restaurants in the vicinity and plenty of surf schools or rentals. Highly recommend the house!

Fernando's place was perfect! It was so well equipped - everything you need to have great days at the beach and make lovely meals at home whenever you like. You can't beat the location on the little peninsula. Right beside two beaches and within walking distance of many great bars and restaurants. We've decided just to live here forever ;) No but really We could not have asked for a better holiday. This is our second time coming to Baleal as a family and our first time at Sofia House. Originally we thought Sofia might be a little too close to tourism and congestion but it was the opposite.... It was the perfect location! The kind management even brought more pool toys for our daughter. The kitchen has all the amenities you will need. The beds were comfortable and the view from the master bedroom was amazing. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! The beach is obviously walking distance. My husband and I even walked the circumference of the island in the morning a few times for exercise. We could not have asked for a better stay... Thanks as always!!

My family of three loved this place so much. The patios upstairs and downstairs have spectacular views of the beaches and the beds are comfy and the kitchen had everything you could ask for to make meals at home. I wished we had booked it for more than 3 days!

Es war wunderschön und eine tolle Lage des Ferienhaus. Zwei sehr schöne Strände sofort in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Haus einfach möbliert aber insgesamt gut ausgestattet. Besonders die Küche. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war allzeit sehr gut. Sehr unkompliziert und entgegenkommend. Wir würden jederzeit erneut dieses Ferienhaus anmieten. Wir waren 3 Wochen in dem Haus und haben 2 Mal sehr engagierte Reinigung des Hauses erfahren mit Wechsel der Bettwäsche und Handtücher. Die allgemeine Absprache ist insgesamt sehr gut gewesen. Wir empfehlen das Haus über "Baleal rentals" 100% ig weiter.

We stayed at this awesome place for one week and it was absolute bliss! The view is a one million dollar view and the location is top! We were planning to stay in Peniche but this was a 100% better choice. Nice cafes and restaurants just a few seconds away. ATM right in front and a handfull real good surf spots right in front of you. We couldnt have been happier!

This place is super nice! I stayed there with a friend of mine that really likes to surf. For this you have the view of two beaches so you can choose which waves you’re going to get that day. After a long day of surfing you literally walk 10 meters, put your surf board on the big terrace and watch the sea and the beach. I like to cook so I mostly got to know the kitchen and the terrace for bbq’ing. To be honest, I never experienced an AirBnb with so many stuff to cook, drink and have a lovely dinner with; tools, pans, plates, cutlery, sangria buckets, cheeseboards, you name it! I would recommend it to everyone.

Incredible location of the property. just in front of the ocean and one of the best surf spots in Peniche. Also close to local restaurants and cafes, just for this it might get a bit noisy in the late evening but well worth it. The house has a very nice terrace for everyone to enjoy the view and relax, as well as the main bedroom. Practical kitchen for every need. Communication was very clear and they really tried to update us on the travel restriction during covid. Easy self check in and check out. It seems its a company running the property, which might not feel that personal but on the other hand they are very organized and accommodating to our needs (they were kind to get beach toys for my 2 year old) The only issue is that beds were a bit hard for my back but overall it is a great experience, which i would gladly repeat and recommend.

This was my second stay at House Sofia and I stayed for 20 nights this time. Like last time, I had an absolutely fantastic time. The house is located right at the beach and offers a lovely view from inside as well as from the terrace. The interior is also nicely designed, and the house is equipped with everything one needs. Everything was super clean and there are strong COVID measures (e.g. self check-in) in place so that everything is as safe as it can be. Fernando and Luciana were great hosts and always readily available in case of questions. Thank you very much, I hope to be able to return soon!

Exceptional location and view right in front of the Beach. You can go surfing bare foot from the house. The house is a little bit old, but still comfortable and big enough with the terrasse and the balcony. We had a great time for 10 days :)

Sophia House excelled our expectations. It was simply perfect. The proximity to the beach, literally across a small road, was breathtaking allowing us to wake up to the sounds, smell and amazing vista of the ocean from our bedroom. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. Nothing was missing for those times we wanted to cook and eat on our beautiful terrace. We felt truly welcomed by Fernando and Luciana and confident they would sort out whatever we needed (although we needed nothing more than we already had in the house).
The guide manual was helpful but contained no silly rules. The local bars and restaurants were super so we hardly ever drove far at night.
We always managed to park near our front door so unloading the car of luggage and shopping was easy.
Our neighbours were lovely and made us welcome too. We played 10 rounds of golf at 4 of the local courses which was great if somewhat tricky. I can't praise the house and the service enough. We've already booked for next year. Thankyou so much.
